The Jensen NVX225 utilizes a crystal-clear, brilliant full-color, 3.5-inch touch-screen display to show you at a glance where you are, and where you need to go. This unit provides you with turn-by-turn voice prompts, in selectable female and male voices, that let you know in advance where you need to turn without you having to ever take your eyes off the road. The NVX225 features route calculation based on user-input preferences, with automatic re-routing when you deviate from your planned route, whether it is by accident, or by choice. This navigator also features over three-million POIs (Points of Interest) so you can easily find what you need wherever you are at, as well as displaying your estimated time of arrival, distance left to travel, time left to go, and miles per hour, all of which is calculated automatically.
Jensen’s NVX225 portable navigator has a built-in SiRF Star III GPS receiver for the ultimate in accuracy, and comes fully embedded with complete maps for the United States, as well as including a CD with maps of Canada. This unit has an internal, 1 GB flash memory drive for downloading additional maps or POIs, and a secure digital card slot for expandable memory options. The NVX225 runs on a rechargeable, lithium-ion battery for the longest possible run time and no-memory effect, and comes with a USB cable for both fast data transfers and recharging your battery. Very easy to use and understand. Never have used a car navigation system before and found it straight forward. Love that it has voice prompts and you can see how long it will take you to get from point A to B. Can create an itinerary, maps of Canada are good. Points of Interests are common and current. Very Handy little device! Recommend it.

I have found this GPS very easy to use and very reliable. It will acquire enough satellites for tracking while in my kitchen without a view to the sky. The voice prompts are very clear and helpful with a choice of male or female voices. The windshield mount is solid and holds well. Also included is an adhesive disk to use with the suction cup mount for dash mounting in those areas where windshield mounts are prohibited. Sometimes the local routes it chooses wouldn’t be my choice, but it will get you there and route recalculation is very quick. I would recommend this unit.

The Jensen NVX-225 is a great GPS at an affordable price. Looking at all the other GPS’s I could have bought this is at the low price end but doesn’t sacrifice quality. The screen is large enough to be readable while driving if you must and the voice loud enough to drown out background noise. I wouldn’t try to add a destination while driving without pulling over. Literally the only thing it doesn’t have that my sisters $300 + GPS has is that it tells you when to turn and in how far. Sis’s tells you the name of the road to turn onto. Hey for $200 cheaper I can follow the directions “turn left in one quarter mile”. It automatically switches to lower tone colors for night driving and re-calculates directions quickly if you miss a turn. I’m completely happy with it.

The maps on this unit are from 2004 and 2005. There is no update available for them. Consequently the GPS is constantly showing your position in the middle of a farm field or telling you to drive off a cliff. The Canadian maps are all off by at least 1000 yards, so even when you’re on an existing road it doesn’t know where you are. The manufacturer has been promising an update since 2007 and it has not and most likely will not ever show up. So unless you have money you want to throw away, don’t even think about buying this item. 0 stars!

Overall, I got exactly what was advertised and exactly what I wanted. I had to play around with the settings at first, any GPS takes some getting used to. I’d recommend.

Jensen’s portable GPS device is nice,although usage as a pedestrian during inclement weather is not entirely reliable as the satellite signal tends to disappear.

I travel all the time and my Jensen travels with me. Even locally because it makes it easy to find places to eat or stores at the end of my hand. For the price, I can beat this product.

It was my first GPS device and simply love it. Unlike many more expensive models, that take a lot of time to learn to use, this could not be easier to learn to use. Garmin and other companies could learn something when it comes to ease of use from this device. could not be any easier to use. Only drawback is the data is a little dated, so new and rerouted roads do not show up. Also wish it had a remote, but for the price, you can’t beat it.

I have used this product 5 times and each time took me way out of my way to get to my final locations. (Even thought I had it set on quickest route not the shortest route) If you have nothing better to do with your life then take the scenic route then this is the product for you. Go with Garmin and save yourself time and gas.
